Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver/ Helper Positions.

Rokoli LLC is expanding and seeking experienced, dependable, and safety-focused professionals to join our Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) team. We are committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation to individuals with mobility and medical needs.

NEMT Driver Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour

Paid Training | Weekly Pay


Previous NEMT, wheelchair, stretcher, medical transportation, EMS, CNA, home health, paratransit, or patient-care experience is strongly preferred.


Qualified applicants who do not already have all required certifications must be willing to complete required training within their first 30 days of employment.

EMPLOYMENTS REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Out-of-state driver’s licenses will not be accepted.


  • Must have a clean and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company insurance requirements.


  • Must successfully complete all required pre-employment background and safety screenings.


  • Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and safety-focused.


  • Must have a smartphone and be comfortable using GPS and a mobile driver application.


  • Must be able to speak, understand, read, and communicate effectively in English with patients, healthcare facility staff, dispatchers, and team members.


  • Must be comfortable working with elderly passengers and individuals with mobility limitations.



  • Previous NEMT, wheelchair, stretcher, patient care, EMS, CNA, home health, paratransit, or medical transportation experience is strongly preferred.


TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

Drivers must be willing to complete all required training and certifications within the first 30 days of employment if not already certified, including:


  • HIPAA Training
  • CPR / First Aid
  • Wheelchair Securement & Passenger Safety
  • Defensive Driving
  • Additional company or client-required safety training


Current certifications are a plus and should be provided during onboarding.


This is a physically active position. Drivers must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including frequently entering and exiting vehicles; walking, standing, bending, and reaching; pushing and maneuvering occupied wheelchairs; operating wheelchair lifts and ramps; assisting ambulatory passengers; securing mobility devices; and assisting with stretcher transportation as part of a team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Safely transport Ambulatory, Wheelchair, and Stretcher passengers to and from medical appointments, healthcare facilities, residences, and other approved destinations.
  • Safely assist passengers entering and exiting company vehicles.
  • Properly operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and securement systems.
  • Properly secure passengers, wheelchairs, and transportation equipment before vehicle movement.
  • Assist with stretcher transportation and patient movement when assigned.
  • Follow assigned schedules, GPS routes, dispatch instructions, and company safety procedures.
  • Maintain professional communication with patients, facility staff, dispatchers, and coworkers.
  • Complete required trip documentation accurately using the Rokoli Driver App.
  • Perform required pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and immediately report safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, professional company vehicle and provide respectful, patient-focused service at all times.
